What FotoTidy does

FotoTidy is a cloud photo app for iPhone and Android. Photos you upload live in FotoTidy’s gallery, not only on the phone.

Plans, ads, and limits

Rewarded ads unlock some premium tools 2 times per day. Shop, bank, and withdraw cannot be unlocked with ads.

• Locked feature dialog: Not now · Watch ad · View plans / Upgrade to Pro
• Free ads: Tags list (every 5 tags), Gallery (every 12 photos), photo viewer banner, Marketplace (every 6 listings)
• Upgrade in Profile → Subscription via App Store or Google Play. Use Restore Purchases after reinstall.

First launch

1. Splash — logo for about 3 seconds. No buttons.
2. First time: 3 swipe onboarding pages (what the app does, terms, privacy). Get Started opens Login.
3. Saved login: splash goes straight to Home.
4. Returning without a session: splash goes to Login.

Sign up, login, password

From Login tap “You don't have an account? Signup”. Enter name, email, password, and confirm password. The eye icon shows or hides the password. Password must be at least 6 characters and both fields must match.

• Create Account sends a 6-digit OTP to your email. Verify returns you to Login.
• Resend code after the countdown.
• Continue with Google or Continue with Apple also work.
• Login: email + password. Remember me saves credentials on this device after success.
• Forgot password? → email → Send Code → OTP → new password → Save Changes → Back to Log In.

Bottom navigation

On Android, Back usually closes nested screens first, then the app.

Home

Pull down to refresh profile, tags, gallery, people, memories, trash, and shared albums.

• Bell — notifications. Logo and profile photo on Home are display only (edit the photo on the Profile tab).
• Search your photos — tap to jump to the Gallery tab. Searching happens there, not on Home.
• Take a photo — opens the camera. Photos save to the Camera tag automatically. No tag picker after a shot.
• Upload Gallery — pick from the phone, then choose Auto Tag or manual tags.

Tag chips filter Home photos. A locked chip asks for PIN. Closed lock = locked. Open lock = unlocked this session. Empty: “No tags available”. Wrong PIN: “Incorrect PIN. Try again.”

• Tap a thumbnail — full-screen viewer. Heart — favorite.
• View all — opens Gallery.
• Empty: “No photos yet” / “Tap the camera to get started”.

Camera

Open from Home → Take a photo, or the center camera tab. Close (top left) exits. The shutter queues a photo and uploads it in the background to the Camera tag. Failed uploads retry about every 8 seconds.

Upload from the phone gallery

1. Home → Upload Gallery → Choose File — pick one or more images.
2. Free plan: maximum 5 images. Message: “You can upload a maximum of 5 images.”
3. Tap the delete icon on a thumbnail to remove it from the batch.
4. Next uploads to FotoTidy. Success: “Photos uploaded successfully!” then the tag screen.

Tag photos after upload

• Swipe the photo strip to preview the batch.
• Start Auto-Tag — Processing… / Uploading…
• Manual: tap chips (multi-select) → Apply Tags.
• No tags yet: “No tags yet. Go to Tags to create some first.”
• Success: Back to Home, or Upload more.

Gallery

• Filter (badge = how many are on) opens the filter sheet. Trash icon opens Recently Deleted.
• Type to filter locally by tag name or date. Press Enter for AI image search (Core/Pro).
• × clears text and AI results. Mic speaks a word, then AI search runs.
• AI status: “Analysing X new images…” then “AI found N image(s)…”. No match: “No images found for …”.

Reset clears everything. Show results applies and closes. Active chips under search: tap a chip to remove that filter only. Tap a photo for full screen, heart to favorite. Pull down to refresh; scroll to load more (not during AI search).

Open a photo (full screen)

Tags

• Add Tag → type a name → Add. Empty name: “Please enter a tag name”.
• Tap a row to open photos. Locked tags ask for PIN first.
• Rename with the edit icon, or long-press → Rename Tag.
• Delete asks “Where to go?” — Transfer File to another tag, or Continue deleting.
• Empty list: “No tags found”.

Lock a tag with a PIN

This is the feature people miss most. On the Tags tab, long-press (press and hold) a tag row.

1. Menu: View Photos, Rename Tag, Lock Tag (or Remove Lock), Delete Tag.
2. Lock Tag (Pro, or watch an ad) → enter a 4-digit PIN. Success: “Tag locked with PIN”.
3. A locked tag shows a lock icon and an orange-tinted border.
4. Open it: tap → “🔒 … is locked” → enter PIN. Four digits submit automatically.
5. Wrong PIN: “Incorrect PIN. Try again.” Three wrong attempts: 30-second cooldown.
6. After a correct PIN the tag stays unlocked for this session only. Home chips show an open lock.

Favorites

• Tap the heart on a Home or Gallery thumbnail, or on a Favorites card.
• Open the list: Profile → Favorite. Tap a card for full screen. Heart removes it.
• Or filter Gallery → Favorites → Favorites only.

Recently Deleted (Bin)

Open from Home → Bin, Gallery trash, or Profile → Recently Deleted. Photos stay 30 days.

• Each tile shows days left (example: 12d).
• Tap to select. Select all / Clear. Restore, or Delete forever (confirm).
• Empty Recently Deleted (when nothing is selected) wipes the whole bin.
• Long-press a photo → Restore or Delete forever.

People albums

Home → People (Core, or ad). Scan library finds faces. Tap a person card for their photos. Long-press (or edit icon) to Rename person — e.g. Mom, Alex, Sara.

Memories

Home → Memories (Core, or ad). Automatic collections. Tap a card for cover + grid. Refresh or pull down. Empty: Find memories.

Shared albums

• Home → Shared, or Profile → Shared Albums (Core, or ad).
• New album, Join with a code, or Scan QR code.
• Pending invites: Join or No.
• Owner ⋮: Show invite QR, Delete album. Member ⋮: Leave album.
• Copy / Show QR, Invite by email, + Add photos from your gallery.
• Photos open read-only. Long-press a photo to remove it from the album only — it stays in the owner’s gallery.

AI image generation

• Home → AI (Pro, or ad). Type a prompt, pick 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, or 3:4, then Generate Image.
• Result: Full screen or Download Image. History in the app bar.
• History: tap to view, Save to download, long-press to delete.

Duplicate cleanup

1. Home → Cleanup (Pro, or ad) → Scan.
2. Filter: All, Exact, Similar, Burst, Blurry, Screenshots, Memes.
3. Select All to pick copies (first photo is Keep), then Delete Duplicates or Delete Selected.

Marketplace

Home → Market. Anyone can browse and buy. Selling needs Pro.

• Browse: search, Buy Now, checkout. Already purchased → Download. Also Profile → My Purchases.
• My Shop (Pro): List a Photo — title and USD price required. Edit or Remove a listing.
• Wallet (Pro): Withdraw Funds, minimum $10. Bank details required first.
• Admin users also see Admin Panel on Profile.

Profile

Notifications

Home → bell. Pull down to refresh. Tap a row for title, body, and date. A forced-logout push signs you out automatically.
